Day 1: Arrive Delhi
Arrive today in India's bustling capital city of Delhi, where you are greeted with a traditional Indian welcome and escorted to your hotel.

Day 2: New & Old Delhi Sightseeing
Your city tour includes Raj Ghat, Ashoka Pillar and the mile-long Chandni Chowk bazaar. Raj Ghat is a memorial to Mahatma Gandhi. Drive along Rajpath, the city's broadest avenue, to view the Parliament House, the President's House and India Gate. Visit the Birla Mandir, Humayun's Tomb, and Qutab Minar.

Day 3: Delhi / Bhubaneshwar
Fly to Bhubaneshwar, the capital of the state of Orissa. Visit the Bindu Sarovar, a temple tank that is believed to be fed by all the holy rivers of India and the surrounding temples. The best examples are Lingaraj temple, Vaital Deul, Mukteswara temple and Rajarani temple. A visit to the Orissa State Museum completes your tour.

Day 4: Bhubaneshwar / Konarak / Puri
Drive today to Konarak, a former center of Buddhism. Visit the Sun temple, considered a masterpiece of Orissan architecture that took 1200 artisans and 16 years to complete. The walls of the temple are covered with erotic sculptures. Continue driving to Puri.

Day 5: Puri
This morning visit the Jagannath temple, which was built in the 12th century. It is one of the biggest centers of pilgrimage in India. The huge chariot at the temple, almost 40 feet tall with wheels measuring 6 feet in diameter, carries the deity of Jagganath during the annual Rath Yatra. The term
"juggernaut" found its origins in this chariot.

Day 6: Puri / Bhubaneshwar / Kolkata
Depart Puri this morning for Bhubaneshwar, where you board a flight to Kolkata. Fly to Kolkata, India's largest city.

Day 7: Kolkata Sightseeing
Your tour of this great city includes a visit to Victoria Memorial, Jain Temple and the new market. Also visit Mother Teresa's Ashram, a place that strikes an emotional chord with most visitors. You are welcome to stay and participate in the daily activities if you so desire. The afternoon is at leisure.
